I’ve never used my Tarot deck before, but I tried it today and it pretty much worked every time I used it. I tried the rose spread and the celtic cross spread, but I only wrote down how it went with the celtic cross spread. For anyone who is curious to learn, I hope this will help, even though I’m an amateur.
First which cards did I get? Here is the list of which card I got where.
- Present – Queen of Swords
- Immediate challenge – Devil
- Distant past – Four of swords (upside down)
- Recent past - Ace of wands
- Best outcome - Two of swords
- Immediate future – Ace of goblets
- Factors affecting situation – Prince of Goblets (upside down)
- External influence – Four of goblets
- Hopes and fears – Five of Goblets
- Final outcome – Prince of Swords
And then, the summary. If you can’t read the cards by heart, have a little book to check, and try to write it down something like I’ve done below. Here is my summary:
Right now things are balanced and harmonious (Queen of Swords). But my challenge is my depression and maybe abuse of power (The devil). Long time ago I had no privacy and no time out (Skaftö?) (Four of Swords upside down), but recently I’ve been enthusiastic and somewhat of rebirth, I started to take initiative (Ace of wands). The closest outcome is Peace and calm and things being neutral (two of swords). What awaits me now is love and tenderness (Ace of goblets). But what might affect the situation in the future is my love’s lack of sensitivity and seduction and no refreshment (Prince of Goblets upside down). What will have big influence on everything is my patience and understanding my love, I have to be thoughtful of my actions (Four of goblets). What I fear right now is disappointment and heartache and feeling hopeless (Five of goblets). The final outcome, what everything will lead to is renewal and getting stronger and braver (Prince of Swords).
